About EAST Magazine

Welcome to the East Asian Student Times (EAST) Magazine online accompaniment to our print edition! EAST curates a host of Asia-specific articles created for and by students at the University of Leeds.

Our mission is to provide an enthralling and engrossing platform through which student chronicles and viewpoints and  can be featured prominently alongside the work of eminent professionals and lecturers in the various spheres of the Far and South East Asian world.

Our international readership includes Snow Flower and the Secret Fan author Lisa See, The Joy Luck Club author Amy Tan, publishers Penguin Books China, plus of course our numerous students both past and present of Leeds East Asian Studies.

I would like The East Magazine to help my friend, Mrs. Helen Le (Yoshiko), to have the address of the cemetary where Mr. Morita Tohru rested, so she can make a trip from Orange County, California, USA, to visit her father’s grave, Mr. Morita Tohru left Việt Nam when Helen was 16 months old. Today, Jan. 15, is the remembrance day of Mr. Morita. He passed away in 1995 (Inf. From Mr. Sabin). I am waiting to hear from you soon. Thank you very much.
